My husband has just finished his lunch of Bistro Sweet and sour Chicken and said it was very good. Yesterday he had the Salmon Pasta dish which was also beautifully presented and so easy to microwave. I don’t usually make comments on bought food but thought this Bistro range was worth a praise. Do enjoy shopping at Aldi but are a bit short on staff sometimes. Great value!!

Holly, that’s too bad. :/
I do think some of them stash merchandise. I’ve heard of some being very strict, and some encouraging and welcoming people looking for a deal. I live in a city where (it seems) there’s a Walgreens on every corner, but if you only have one and they rarely have anything, it’s a bummer if you’re looking to get some of their deals.

Our Walgreens takes everything that’s supposed to be on sale and hides it in the back until the sale is over…or maybe it just seems that way. I’ve given up.

Love their fiber and granola bars, string cheese, bag of frozen hamburgers for the grilling season and the milk chocolate from Germany in really good.

Thanks for this post on Aldi’s. I’ve come to appreciate Aldi more and more as the years go by. Some of the items that I routinely buy are condiments (ketchup, mustard, salad dressings), cheese (love their swiss deli slices) and their 18 pack double roll toilet paper is a great price and is decent quality too. I go to Aldi every week now and like you said, it’s so nice to not have to hassle with coupons and still know you are getting good deals. Plus you can get in and out quickly which is wonderful.

Fruit, pretzel rods(!), milk, cheese,cups of diced peaches and mandarin oranges (Laney loves them). And then I try new things every once in a while. I bought a big thing of frozen hashbrowns (in the “patties”-like at McDonalds) and was really disappointed. Also, the juice was terrible (supposed to be like Sunny D)- I actually had to throw it out b/c no one would drink it!

Ooh, thank you Steph. I’ve been eying up the extract since my stash is getting low. I’ll have to check out the other ones you mentioned, too. I haven’t had much in the frozen section… have been wanting to try their ice cream as well.
