Kool-Aid Dying (help!!)

I'd really like to try dying some yarn with Kool-Aid. It seems like an interesting project to try. I've printed out a couple "recipes" for Kool-Aid dying, but wonder where most people purchase their yarn from.

I went to Hobby Lobby and looked at theirs, but only found a 20% wool / 80% acrylic yarn. I can't use that, can I? Doesn't it need to be all wool???
