Custom Outlet and Switch Covers
After my bathroom was painted, I decided to ditch the old chipped fake-gold outlet and switch covers and get something new. I shopped around and found a couple I liked, but thought were too expensive. Well, then I spied some of those clear ones (that you stick wallpaper on the back so it matches with your wallpaper). I've seen those before, but that kind of always threw me off, 'cause I didn't have wallpapered walls. Then it dawned on me. Hel-lo, girlfirend!?! Just because you don't have wallpapered walls, doesn't mean you can't stick some matching paper behind that and use them. I knew I had some scrapbooking papers at home that I could use, so I snatched them up. ![]() I really like this idea. I can change it as I want, too. Use different ones for a cheap, fresh look, or for different holidays. Or make ones for my kids, using their own artwork. I think I will use this same idea for some more outlets around the house as well. April 05, 2003 |
