Grow A Pineapple

Now this, I'd like to try. I eventually kill most planty things, but it's worth a shot.

Painted Clay Pot Ahh. Now. here is a picture of a big old clay pot that I decorated to match my livingroom. It was one of my first crafty things that I made (after the twins were born) because I had a little time and didn't feel like crap from the hormones of carrying around 2 little bodies in my big body...

Where was I?

Anyway, I just bought a huge clay pot and holder, spray painted them with blue paint, let that dry, then sponge painted some gold stars and moons on it. It was super-duper easy and very gratifying. I waited for it all to dry, then sprayed a topcoat on it. It's one of my favorite things. I keep mine in the house, but I'm sure you could do this with any clay pot outdoors. Just use a topcoat that is meant for using outdoors.

Note: being that I'm somewhat paranoid, I was worried that my plant would die from being in a painted pot. No siree. That plant you see in that picture was made from cuttings. Yes, cuttings. It was tiny when I placed it in that big ol' pot. Now, it's a monster.
