Britney

Gosh. Do they really think people are going to be fooled into this shit?

Friday Fiver

friday five

1. If you had the chance to meet someone you've never met, from the past or present, who would it be? Easy, God.

2. If you had to live in a different century, past or future, which would it be? Well, I don't know. It's not a realistic question, so I won't get too realistic about it, but I'd like to live in the 1800's, or maybe back in the 1400's. But, I'm pretty sure I'd just want to be a fly on the wall.

3. If you had to move anywhere else on Earth, where would it be? Assuming my entire family would follow me? I really don't know. I feel at hom where I am. Maybe some other state for a while.

4. If you had to be a fictional character, who would it be? Something with wings, who could fly, or else someone rich, famous and moody ;0)

5. If you had to live with having someone else's face as your own for the rest of your life, whose would it be? Oh, gosh. It's like the movie Face/Off Gosh... Halle Berry? I don't know. It would be pretty freaky living with someone else's face. I'd like someone else's body, though. Someone with a kick ass figure and kick ass metabolism.

Troops Captured

CNN.com - : BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Iraqi military forces have captured or killed a group of fewer than 10 U.S. soldiers from an Army maintenance unit, Pentagon officials said Sunday...

I haven't been watching the news the past couple days, but my husband informed me of this.

16 Die In Chopper Crash

16 killed when Marine chopper crashes in Kuwait. So far, it is thought to have occured from a mechanical problem. Man. I hate hearing about these brave soldiers being killed by some mechanical error. Not...that I enjoy hearing about anyone being killed - but from a mechanical error? Oy.

Who Will Be Spiderman?

Due to a bad back, Tobey Maguire may not be up for a Spiderman sequel. In that case, I guess they have Jake Gyllenhaal in line to play Spiderman (he was in Bubble Boy).

Of coarse, once again, you have to wonder if it's just hype. Here a couple days ago, there's all this hooah about James Gandolfini wanting more money for his role in the Sopranos? Well, he's getting paid.

Movie For The Twins

Jonah - A VeggieTales Movie

We just bought this, Jonah - A VeggieTales Movie. I got it for the twins for their birthday (which is coming up at the end of the month). I haven't seen it yet, though. The twins just recenly got into Veggie Tales. I wish we could open it now. I'm so bad at waiting.

Anyone seen it yet?

Spring Is Coming

Here's one of my sweet cats, wishing he could go outside (again). It's so nice here. Spring is peeking it's little head out. The twins had a blast, splashing in puddles in the backyard. They ate orange popcicles and got horribly wet.

Stupid cat left a very, very long trail of muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor, too. I had to take him to the sink to wash his darn feet!!

Oh look. It's Strawberry Shortcake.com I love it. Man, I wish they had this kind of stuff when I was a kid. I literally have to control myself from grabbing all the Shortcake dolls from Target and running out the door.

Friday Fiver

the friday five

1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not? Not really. I used to. But, now, the kids made too much noise whenever I'm on the phone. I prefer email or snail mail.

2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone? I think it was my Mom.

3. About how many telephones do you have at home? We have 3.

4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened? No. I just like it when, if someone leaves a message, they say more than, "Call me." Give me some clue as to why you're calling , please!!

5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not? I like recieving mail, so letters are good. Email is cool, too. And, if I can get away from the commotion of the house, a phone call is nice. But, during the day it's really hard to get any decent phone conversations in.

Kids Color Pages

Printing out coloring pages for the twins and I to color keeps us busy this morning. (I'm doing the Straweberry Shortcake one.) I wish we had sharper crayons. I don't like to color with dull, broken crayons. Sad.

Potato Soupy

I was at a loss for something to make for dinner tonight, but then I remembered reading Aimee's post about making some potato soup.

That will do.

I threw 3 cans of broth in a pot, cut up 4 red potatoes and 1 big yellow one, threw them in a pot to boil, then simmer for 10 min.

While that was cooking, I cut up some onion and threw that in a Pam-sprayed pan with a package of Oscar Mayer Bacon Bits, a little thyme and a dab of butter and sauteed it for a few minutes.

After my potatoes were soft, I added the onion mixture to it, then some salt and fresh grated pepper. I put in about 3/4 cup of Velveeta cheese (light) and let that melt.

Voila!! Done. And it was fabulous. Filling, too. It made about 7 cups. I'm definitely going to make it again.

Lean Cuisine Vegetable Eggroll

Review LeanCuisine - Oriental Style Pot Stickers

You get 4 pot stickers and about 1/2 cup of rice in this one.

Pot stickers: Pretty good. I ate all of them and wouldn't mind having some more. They are good sized and about as tasty as I would expect them to be. They're not as tasty as Chinese take-out, but come on, this is a frozen dinner we're talking about.

Rice and veggie "medly": Tastes like packing materials. Wet, slippery tasteless stuff. It looks pretty enough, but there's really no flavor whatsoever. It's not sticky rice (like Chinese take-out), but rather soupy. In retrospect, I should have mixed it with the sauce in the bottom of the container, to give it a hint of flavor.

Bottom Line: Eh. Probably won't be buying this one again. I like the Veggie Eggroll one better.

The Osbournes - Season One on DVD

The Osbournes - The First Season (Uncensored-2002) Is there anyone else who wants this? The Osbournes - The First Season? I have a wee infatuation with the Osbournes MTV show. I know they swear, act funny and all that shit, but they also love the hell out of each other. It's sweet.
