Jack Osbourne in rehab. Now wouldn't that make an interesting episode or two on the show?
Prosecutors charge Scott Peterson with murder.
Because Lacy was pregnant, an additional 5 years could be added to his sentance, because (if it was him) he knew that she was with child.
Five measly years. That's it.
Scott Peterson pleaded not guilty to two counts of capital murder. Prosecutors have not decided whether to seek the death penalty yet.
Lacy's parents are planning a funeral for their daughter and (unborn) grandson.
For the first time, prosecutors say Peterson allegedly killed his wife at their home at 523 Covena Ave. on Dec. 23 or 24, the day she disappeared.
Gosh. This whole thing is just horrific, isn't it? There was a similar case, I guess, a bit ago, but it did not recieve the amount of coverage this case is getting.
NOTE: Someone asked for information on contacting Lacy's family. Here is the website lacipeterson.com.
Don't mow down those dandy lions - eat them!! The dandelion is a healthful, great tasting weed you can eat, says this article.
I remember growing up in a small town of about 1000 people and my friend's grandma would make dandelion wine. She also put them in mashed potatoes. They were darn good, too.
I haven't cooked any of those weeds myself, but maybe I'll give it a shot this Spring. I'm sure the kids would get a kick out of eating the little "flowers" that grow all over. Here's some different recipes I found (pick dandelions just before using them because the flowers close quickly after picking):
mountainbreeze.com
about.com (great instructions)
channel4000.com
mybackyard.com
healthwell.com
mydandelionpatch.com
Okay. That's enough. Anyone have experience with this? Recipes you're willing to share?
Made a new mommy blinkie:
Anyone can snag it, just link it back here :)
And another blinkie:
TV Turnoff Network... Forgot about this one. I was *so* planning on (maybe, possibly) doing this.
Cleaning products are expensive, so I like to try different recipes and make my own. Today, I made some homemade cleansing cloths out of this recipe:
1c. rubbing alcohol
1 tbsp. amonia
1 tbsp. liquid dish soap
1 quart water (approx.)
I cut paper towel in half (good paper towel, cheap ones don't work well) and put it in a container, poured the solution and mushed it up a bit. Right now it's just sitting. I'm going to take the core out soon and give it a try.
I also added a few drops of lavender fragrance to it as well.
I feel like, more and more, Holidays are overwhelmingly just another excuse to spend money. I was feeling this yesterday as I (reluctantly) picked out candy at Target. I made a decision not to do the whole basket thing, but instead focus on the egg hunt that we have been having for the past couple of years.
It just seems to me that Easter is becoming a second Christmas. Spend, spend, spend!! And ignore why we're celebrating it in the first place. So, I think each year I'll shave a little more off of the giving-money-to-the-stores stuff and focus a little more on fmaily activities and things that matter to us faith-wise.
Anyway, here's a link: On Having a Frugal Easter. There's some ideas in there, if you want to take a look.
Of coarse, if you don't celebrate Easter, then you don't even need to worry about it. And if anyone has any additional tips, I'd be happy to hear them.
I heard on the news that the bodies (adult and baby's), but never heard anything beyond that. The whole thing is disgusting and sad.

Get Organized At Home! Tips and Tools from OrganizedHome.Com This is a fantastic site. I've spent the past hour on it, collecting ideas and am in the process of making the freezer coleslaw.
Jacko's MTV 'award' all a misunderstanding... Michael Jackson was left embarrassed after he proudly accepted a non-existent award in front of millions of TV viewers.
Just another testament to the freakishness that is Michael. He's brought on stage to get birthday props, Brit-Brit says he should be "Artist of the Millennium" and he takes it as a literal thing, making an acceptance speech.
I missed that one, I guess.
Back from our mini-vacation. I'm sipping Pina Coladas and am not caught in the rain. How nice for me.
However, it's warm and there's not much of a breeze to speak of. Drinking my coconutty drink makes me even warmer. A breeze would be nice right about now.
I checked my mail when I came home and apparently, someone (yeah, my little doo-hicky mail thing gives me IP addys) decided to blow up my mailbox, asking all sorts of silly, fake-incest related questions. Sigh... Although they were semi-entertaining to read (he/she made sure to make them sound "official"), I won't take the time to answer them.
Goofball.
1. What was the first band you saw in concert? It was The Donnas. This year. A couple months ago.
2. Who is your favorite artist/band now? I don't have many favorites. It's too hard to pick. I like way too many artists to choose.
3. What's your favorite song? (see number 2 and apply it to this question)
4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be? There's so many. I'd love to be able to play the drums. Guitar, too. Piano as well. But guitar is probably my first choice.
5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why? Hmmm. That's a hard question, really. I guess I would want to meet different people for different reasons. If I seriously had to choose right at this moment, I'd probably say... Tupac. Yes. Tupac.
Queen Latifah to host this year's VH1 Diva contest with performances by Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan and Jewel live.
Yay. I love me some Queen. No, I haven't seen Chicago yet, but I have seen Bringing Down the House, which I really dug. And I've always liked Latifah. She's a big ol' sexy lady, who's got curves galore and I like that. Finally, a natural looking woman, cast as a sexy lead.
David Bloom dies in Iraq. I didn't know who this was until I looked at his picture. Sad.
Vin Diesel can't drive A Man Apart
From CNN.com: It took Sylvester Stallone three "Rambos" and maybe four of his "Rockys" over a 12-year period before he became painful to watch. Vin Diesel has managed the same with just a few movies in a couple of years.
Come on, now. It's an action film, right? Did anyone ever go to see Sylvester Stallone act? It's just a buff body, put in an action-type film, that's all. Like anybody cared about Halle Berry's acting in the James Bond flick. Riiigght.
I'm looking for a Gatorade Recipe. My oldest son plays soccer and likes to drink a sports drink sometimes, but man - they're expensive. I thought maybe I'd use some of the old bottles and put some homemade drink in them. Here's what I found:

Colors-In-Motion Twist Up Crayons
I bought these at WalMart (the 10 pack) for the twins. I absolutely love them. They are easy to color with and don't break under normal use (the twins are rough, too). They also color just as good as crayons, and better than some of the off-brand ones. It's like using a marker but less messy. Another great thing about them is that they are more sturdy than crayons. I don't know how many times I've opened a new box of regular crayons for the twins and 1/2 of them are broken in half by the end of the day.
Basically, these crayons work like a mechanical pen. When the tip gets low, you twist it advance the crayon. This is my first pack, but I'm sure that I will buy more. I don't remember the price, but I believe it was around 3 bucks for the 10-pack that I got.
Bottom Line: Great find. I hope this company continues to make these crayons. They would be a fantastic school supply. I'd like to see refills, or larger packages in the future.

Another 'American Idol' Kicked Off Fox Show. Adios, Corey Clark. Sheesh. That was an accident waiting to happen. Anyone else remember during the first few shows, where the contenstants go out for a night on the town and he got wasted and acted like a he already was a star? And then he serenaded Paula and she got all trippy and giddy?
Corey Clark. Goodbye.
