Girl Rescued From Washing Machine

A 2-year-old girl was rescued from a locked, running washer at a coin laundry and her mother was arrested after a surveillance tape allegedly showed her putting the child into the machine, police said.

Goodness. That's horrendous. My first instinct was, if I was there, to break that glass. But then the kid could have gotten hurt (even more). Man. What a sick woman.

Bob Hope Turns 100

Wow. Bob Hope is 100 years old. I seriously thought he was already there. Or... well, maybe I was thinking of George Burns.

Self-Destructing Disney DVD

Disney Makes self-destructing DVD, hoping to launch a movie rental program.

Once the DVD is opened and exposed to oxygen, it starts to decompose (???), making it unreadable after about 48 hours - the usual time a rental is checked out for.

Soooo, you don't have to return it, you toss it, I guess. And for those of you who run out of time to watch your rental, I guess you'd be outta luck.

Hmm. Weird. What do you think?

American Idol Goodies

Buy American Idol Merchandise. I'll take this:

American Idol Microphone

How fun would that puppy be? I used to love pretending anything was a microphone. Brushes, lipstick tubes...deoderant bottles... Man. I loved pretending I was on stage. I lived in a small town, too, so I'm pretty sure everyone within a few miles knew I loved to sing.

American Juniors

Is anyone else looking forward to American Juniors like I am? I bet it's going to be pretty interesting, with over-bearing parents and such.

The sad thing, is that these people are kids. I'm not sure what to think about that. After watching the "behind the scenes" documentary about children's pagents, I'm quite disgusted about the whole thing. Hopefully this show isn't like that.

Homemade Pizza

Fridays are usually pizza night around our house. Recently, to cut back on some of the costs of things, I started making homemade pizzas again. Last week I made 2 batches of whole wheat crusts and froze one so that I would have no easy excuse to NOT make pizzas.

This was the one for the kids. Cheese and turkey sausage. Not the most perfectly round crust, but eh. We made one for us with feta cheese, oninion, green pepper and... I think that's it. Yummy.

Bic Twin Select Silky Touch Razors

Bic Twin Select Silky Touch Razors

What was I thinking when I bought these? Oh yeah. I remember. It was a coupon; I believe a dollar off. Enough to make me consider switching from my regular razor, and try a different brand.

What a mistake. The first time I used them, it was in the shower on my armpits. I thought that the lack of effectiveness in the shaver might have been due to the longer-than-normal length of my pit hair. Or, the soap I was using. I just noticed they weren't working so hot. Eh, I figured it wasn't a big deal.

That was until I used them on my legs today. Hel-lo. My leg hair wasn't long. I was using the same shaving supplies that I always did. However, I was cut repeatedly by the razor. I'm talking 5 times. I look as if I had my first attempt at shaving my legs. Mind you, I'm almost 30. I've been shaving for over a decade.

A 1/2 hour later I put lotion on my bloodied, scabby legs and they stung for a good 20 minutes.

Bottom Line: Never again will I buy these razors. Never.

Rating:

(Normally I use Gillette Daisy Disposable Razors for Women. I'll continue to stick to those, and not be lured by coupons.)

Women Can Pee Standing Up, Yanno

And you thought women couldn't pee standing up. Wrong!!

I think I may have to try this someday. Preferably some day when I'm not worried about pissing all over my damn self. Still, though. I think there should be urinals in women's bathrooms anyway. Mainly because whenever I have to take my young boys potty, they get piss all over the entire stall.

I wasn't made with a penis, so I have a bit of trouble aiming them. Especially while I'm yelling, "Don't TOUCH that!!!"

Jewel, Ya Done Wrong, Honey

Some May 5th (aka Cinco De Mayo) information:

Cinco de Mayo History.

~ ~ ~

Okay. What the hell. You know, yesterday I was happy to discover that Jewel was releasing a new album. Now, though, I catch a glimpse of her video... all I can say is, "What. Happened?"

Please tell me that you aren't crossing over, Jewel. Please. Tell me you're not turning into a Christina Aguilera that has to promote her body (shamlessly), instead of her God-given talent. I'm not a prude. That's not it. I just like some things to stay as they are.

I realize who the "true talents" are. I expect tits and ass from J-Lo, or Britney. I don't, however, expect it from Jewel. I expect that my daughter can watch her videos without an ass/crotch shot thrown in her face.

Dammit. What a dissapointment.
