Alberto VO5 Blueberry Shampoo and Conditioner

Alberto VO5 Blueberry Shampoo and Conditioner

I'm always on the scout to test a new shampoo or conditioner. Sales, coupons, or price is a factor, but so is scent. So, when I saw the VO5, blueberry-scented shampoo, I had to take a whiff. It blew me away.

I set down the 3+ dollar bottle of conditioner I had grasped in my paw, and grabbed up a shampoo and conditioner of the VO5 blueberry. Hey, I got both for the price of the conditioner I was going to buy, and they smelled fantastic.

Verdict:

Shampoo: Very rich lather, intense blueberry smell. Waaaay more intense than any Herbal-scented (supposidly orgasmic) shampoo I've ever used. My hair was literally squeeky-clean after using it. Thumbs up.

Conditioner: For my thick, curly head of hair, the conditioner didn't cut it. It didn't detangle very well at all, either. And, sadly to say, the scent was not nearly as potent as the shampoo. What went wrong here? For a light conditioner, it might work okay. But, as far as detangling, you're on your own. It just wasn't even up to par with regular conditioners that don't boast detangling, but help you get through your hair a bit.

Bottom Line: I need conditioner, so I got both. If you're looking for a yummy smelling shampoo - go for it. The conditioner doesn't pack nearly the "punch" in the scent department as the shampoo though. Great price, however.

Shampoo: Conditioner:

Child Tax Credit

PHILADELPHIA, July 24 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Thursday new government checks were on their way to millions of Americans with children, even as attempts to extend the benefits to low-income families are stalled in Congress.

Do you qualify? You can (sort of) check here.

My mom does my taxes, and I'm hoping she claimed the child tax credit. Hoping. Praying. Needing...

Saddam's Dead Sons

Hoping to convince wary Iraqis that Saddam Hussein's eldest sons had been killed, the U.S. military on Thursday released photos of the corpses of Odai and Qusai Hussein.

I've seen the same 2 pictures everywhere. Not... that you really *need* to see more, I suppose. Yahoo has a "Premium Service" where you can watch additional footage. You have to pay for the privilidge (???) of seeing Saddams dead sons. That makes the whole thing even more twistedly sick.

Faking It

Anyone else watch Faking It? I happened to catch it last night when it was on and watched the one about the nerd/cheerleader, and then the beer drinker/smellier. Gosh, the beer drinker got on my last good nerve. I was actually a little glad he didn't "pass" the test.

And, then some infomercial came on so I switched, and lo and behold, there was faking it on BBC!! Joy, joy.

I didn't get to sleep until 3am. Pathetic.

Toe Sucking Man Sentanced To Life

Sucking the toes of young boys has landed a California man in prison for life.

This dude was a youth supervisor. As grouse and lewd as this is, I'm suprised he got a LIFE sentance. At the end it says he molested the kids, though, so maybe there's more to this story than the toe-sucking thing.

Driving While Breastfeeding

A Michigan mother has been arrested for driving while she was breastfeeding.

She was cited for not having her kid in a restraint, and driving without a license.

Whoa. How dumb do they come? It's great that she's breastfeeding, but come on. Babies can wait. Don't take them out of the carseat to feed them. If you can't stand listening to them scream and cry, pull over and feed them. Gosh, what a dumb move.

Batman 5?

Will there be a Batman 5? And will Ashton Kutcher be the batty man? Hmmmm. I guess with all the super-hero / comic book movies lately (Spiderman, Hulk...) it's inevitable. I keep thinking I should dust off some of those old batman movies to watch with the kids. My kids hardly even know who batty is.

Re: Movie

Anyone else getting this "Re: Movie" email? I get about 3 a freaking day. Is it a virus or what? I use that Mailwasher, so once I see it, I delete it.
