For those of you looking to do a little good for the enironment and churn up less waste - take a look at this: Recycled Reusables. Handmade cloth bags, and other goodies.
Violin Online - Violin Basics. Very nice. But I still don't know if it's the pinky or what that's the first finger. Gar!!!
Too bad my son can't remember either. Darnnit.
British Singer Robert Palmer Dies in Paris. Of coarse, I remember him for his "Addicted to Love" song. Who wouldn't?
One of the twins just put to death one of the last remaining flowers I planted this year. He took a plastic boat to it and dug it out. Not for any real reason, except for the all important, "I was just getting a nut..." excuse. Whatever that means.
I guess he thought he was doing my some kind of favor. Or else he got carried away with it. Either reason is, I'm sure, good enough for him.
The boys want to go for a walk on this rainy day. But I'd rather not. I'd rather go crawl back under my comforter and play Sleepytime for the rest of the day. I don't think they'd appreciate that one, though.
For lunch: Macaroni & Cheese with albacore tuna and hotsauce. And some crackers, 'cause I feel like I'm eating a bowl of straight up mush.
However, I do have to say that though I will buy off-brands of a LOT of different products, I really like this original Kraft kind. I used to have an off-brand that I thought was just as good as, if not better (and I want to say it was Creamette, but don't hold me to it), but I've been spending the little bit extra for the blue box.
I used to inwardly roll my eyes as the blue box snobs in the grocery store, that wouldn't even give the off-brands a second glance. But... well. I've swung to the other side.
How sweet. Another review for my store. I completely forgot to mention it.
Thanks, Janet!!
Darn. Usually the twins sleep in for a couple hours before waking up, and I get in a little bit of "me" time in the morning. I get the older 3 off on the bus, then check mail, make coffee, putter about... but this morning the twins woke up (one even before me).
I let them have breakfast in the livingroom at their little table, but they were told to be "very careful" since we're still babying our semi-new carpet. I came in the kitchen to finish making my eggs and it didn't take long until I heard that predictable giggling which meant they were up to no good. Sure enough, one was dripping milk from his nearly spill-proof cup onto the table.
Needless to say, they were done eating and into "play" mode. So much for a peaceful morning.
Disneyland Roller Coaster Derails, One Dead:
"A roller coaster derailed at Southern California's Disneyland theme park on Friday, killing one man and injuring 10 other people, including a 9-year-old, officials said."
Ugh. My worst roller coaster fear. How terrible.
Lookie here: More families opting for home schooling.
Hmmmmm. Just posted question about this yesterday. It's nice to be able to seek resources and find them.
Anybody know of any good homeschooling (or other) websites that has activities and ideas to do with pre-schoolers?
Okay, so I heard that Madonna and Brittany kissed. I didn't know that Christina was in on it, too. Sad to say, I'm not suprised. And, it's not the kiss so much as the fact that it's all for show. Honestly, I thought Madonna had "grown up" a bit. Apparently not. Great fecking role models kids have nowadays.
An alternative to soda: Refreshing Power Milk. Bubbly, carbonated milk. Sounds gross, but hey - maybe it's better than I imagine.
