My So-Called Life (in reruns) | Main | Plant a Row for the Hungry April 19, 2004Strawberry Cheesecake (sort of)Ever try those cheesecake mixes? I think Jell-O makes them, and another brand. At any rate, you make the crust, then mix up the filling? Yeah, do all that, then refrigerate for about 1/2 hour to an hour. But then, take one of them there Strawberry Cool Whips, and spread that on top. Slice some strawberries, put them on top, and it looks like you went to all kinds of work. Tastes yummy, too. Nice, cool, Summery dessert.

That sounds yummy. I make the cheesecakes about once every two weeks but had never thought about the cool whip on top! Thanks!

I love that it's so easy, and kind of dresses up a plain cheesecake ;)

Those jello no bake cheesecake desserts are the best! And they're cheap, too. My kids love 'em!

I don't know if it's cheaper, but I usually follow the no bake cheesecake recipe in the Philladelphia cream cheese box. (also found on Kraft's webstie.) You mix cream cheese, cool whip, and sugar (1/3 cup I think), and spread it all into a graham cracker crust and chill. Yummy!
