I did not know Queen Latifah (Dana Owens) had a new record out where she sings. I saw a commercial for it a tonight. I've loved her since back in the day, and am thrilled she's got something new out. She sounded great in Chicago, and has done some singing (if I can remember correctly) on her older rap CDs. I love me some Queen.
Man I'm lovin' my Gmail. I like how you can just keep it in a window and when there's a new message, the number appears to let you know. It is my favorite mail program yet. I've got 5 invites burning a hole in my pocket, too.
My mom has been putting celery in her scrambled eggs/omelets for months now. It was something that just didn't sound like a good pairing to me. But, since cutting my carbohydrates and eating more eggs, (I've always liked celery) I decided to try it in my omelet today.
I chopped up a stalk, and added it with my cheddar cheese. Verdict? Not bad. Not bad at all. In fact it was pretty darn good. Great way to use up some celery that has lost it's crunch, too.
I've been through hell and back upgrading this MT. Finally, after a few days of dinking with it, then leaving it before I ripped my hair out, then dinking with it again - I think it is working. Woohoo!!
Goodness, is there any way to put a damper on the comment spamming in MT? It is absolutely terrible on my crafty blog.
Maybe I should just switch over to an entirely new format, but just the thought of that makes me ill.
Jessica Simpson beat out Brit-Brit, Mandy Moore and Jessica Biel for the role of Daisy in Dukes of Hazzard. I think Jessica is a cutiepie. I hope the movie isn't super bad. Mainly I hope the movie is suitable for kids. I'd love to take the family to it.
The only thing worse than answering a ringing phone and being bombarded with someone trying to persuade you to vote for a certain candidate, is to answer a ringing phone and having a recorded voice trying to persuade you to vote for a certain candidate. Ugh!! I find it one of the most tacky and ineffective (at least at this household) ways to get the message out for a Presidential election. It is like SPAM, but only over the phone. At least for SPAM I don’t have to stop what I’m doing, get up and answer the phone.
For all the freshmen entering college this year: Beloit College Releases the Mindset List for the Class of 2007.
Pretty fun reading. Gosh, though, it makes me feel a little old.
Tired of spam? Use this encoder to scramble your email address. There's a lot of different encoders out there, but I've found this one to be the most user friendly. It gives you the option of using the Javascript or HTML version, which is nice, because this new XP service pack will block some of the Javascripts on pages.
"The former president went to Northern Westchester Hospital yesterday afternoon after experiencing mild chest pain and shortness of breath. Initial testing was normal and he spent the night at home in nearby Chappaqua, New York. After undergoing additional testing this morning at Westchester Medical Center, doctors advised he should undergo bypass surgery." [link]
