Recipe Section

I've added a new recipe section to the site. Check it out and add some stuff!! I've been on a new recipe kick. When I go through and pick out a handful of dishes to make and compile my list from there it sure makes dinnertime a simpler event. So I've been doing this as much as possible. It saves on money, too.

So go check it out and give me some more good ones to try.

Allergy Woes

My allergies have been driving me freaking nuts. My eyes got so bad that I just wanted to sleep so I wouldn't have to open them. Finally I took an Alavert and it really did help. It didn't make a dent in my sinus issues yesterday but it did clear up some of that irritated eye stuff that I was most annoyed by. I do see they also have a sinus relief one, too, so maybe I will try that. However, if it has that pseudoephedrine I'll skip it. That stuff doesn't agree with me.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit [link]

Last night we went to a preview of the movie Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It was a free pre-screening or something like that. We took all the kids.

I recognized the characters, but I am not a fan. Not because I don't like them, but only because I hadn't seen any of their shows. My 11 year old was enthusiastic about seeing the movie, saying he's seen W&G many times before.

The first 15 or 20 minutes I was confused, not knowing any character background I found myself just trying to get into the film. There were two grown men behind me laughing hysterically to the point where I thought maybe they were seat-fillers, put there to guffaw and make a big deal of the film. But then as other adults around us started to make the same, deep belly laughs I realized it was genuine. I also started to get into the movie and found myself laughing along with them. The twins cackled as well, as did my 8 year old. It was worth going to the movie just to hear their giggles.

All in all I enjoyed the film, the plot was cute and the characters were entertaining enough to keep my interest (not always an easy task). The only person in the family that did not like it was my 8 year old. But then again, he's such a goofball I can't get a straight answer from him anyway.

My rating:
