About Me
Who: I run groovy-mom.com. I'm a mother, I run a home-based business, and I'm a regular
crafty laaayyydee. I love making things with my hands. I've pretty much always loved to dabble in crafting. My mom was always thinking up new ideas or showing us stuff to make (home made) and I loved it. I'd like to give my kids the same opportunity.
| Why: When I make crafts I feel like I accomplished something. Sometimes I feel all cool and frugal, like I saved some money by making it myself. Whatever. I just like making stuff. A while back, I took up knitting. I wanted to make preemie hats to donate to local and non-local hospitals. Having preemie twins myself, somehow I fixated on the whole "hat thing" and wanted to do something special for other little preemies. Right now my focus is on my soaps and candles. I named this puppy Compulsively Crafty because I'm such a compulsive / impulsive lady. I get these ideas, run out to the craft store and get supplies and sometimes I make them right away, or sometimes they sit in my little craft drawer...waiting. Not all my crafts pan out.
