Blue Hat's Done

Well, I finished my blue hat. There's Frannie in it. He was eating cereal, but was more than happy to pose for me. It's so big, it even fits me.

My husband was right. It was way to damn big. It even flopped over on my head. The height was right, but the width was not. I began with a (rotten evil) pattern that told me to cast on 126 stitches. I did. But then, I made the mistake of watching television while I knitted an PURLED and made some nice increases by making yo instead of purling...Oi. The tragedy ensues. Oh well. But since I hat promised the hat to my 3 year old son, I had to flap the thing over and sew it up so it was smaller. The flap makes it kind of heavy on one side, but I don't care. If I had a rotweiller with a huge head, then he could wear it in the original size. But I don't.
