Happy Valentine's Day

Okay, so for those of you are all romantic and stuff, Happy Valentine's Day.

For me, it's just a frenzy of making Valentine's the night before and sending them off with the kids. This year I have 3 kids in school. Only one had store-boughten cards (Gramma picked up some Spiderman ones). The other two I made cards for.

I don't mind kids celebrating Valentine's Day in school. As long as when they hand out cards, they hand one out to EVERY dang kid in the class. None of that "give them to whomever you want to" shit for me. That leaves some kids with a box full of dead air. If you don't want to do it - don't. Fine. But it's an all or nothing thing with me.

Comments

I totally agree that everyone should get one. I used to hate having only 2 or 3 and the "popular" kids would have a buttload. Sad that even in elementary school there is an "in" crowd. At my son's school it's a rule that every child gets one. Thank goodness.

at our kids' school, they are not ALLOWED to give out cards unless there is one for each person in the class, and the kids have to give them to the teacher who checks, before they can put them in the 'mailbox'. my grade 6-er's class had a Box Lunch Swap this year instead [bring a cool lunch in a decorated box, then everyone picks one and no one knows who made which), and it was much funner and ensured everyone got a v-day treat. :)

I kinda thought you were supposed to give them to everyone. That is what we always did in school... that is what my boys both did. The teachers sent home class lists of who all is in the class so we could make them up even.

hey i think doing these "VALINTINES DAY cards are really great because it is really gets the romance into you well thanks for taking your time to read my comment see you later

LOVE FROM KELLIE MASTERS

I am looking forward to Valentines Day this year. I have a five year old, Anna, and we will be making the cards. The best way to deal with handing out cards, I feel, it to give each child one. This will include all of the peers and be enjoyable for all.

an old friend of mine came back into my life... we were good friends in high school and i loved him more than he ever knew,, now we have begun a life together... i only had to wait 25 years for him and i can honestly say that i would go through everyday of that 25 years again just to have him in my life... he loves me now more than i could ever have dreamed... i have never been so happy in my life.. he IS my heart and soul and i am truly loved for the first time in my life... thank u GOD for bringing danny back into my life...

hey I just want to say happy valintines day to you because you the best friend I ever had .when I came to this school you whrere the only girl I knew that can help me with my work.
