Children's Book - Ginger | Main | Hot Cheetos and Rolling Rock February 16, 2003Michael UnmaskedFor anyone else who is interested in the train wreck that is Michael Jackson, Dateline will be having a 2-hour special tomorrow (02.17.03 @ 9pm ET) night called "Michael Jackson Unmasked." I watched the first special on him and can tell you without a doubt that he is one of the freakiest, weirdest mo-fos out there. Watching that special only made my opinion of him more concrete: He's crazy whacked. Sure, during the part where he talked about the abuse he had to endure, my heart went out to him. But watching him with his kids was not like watching a father and son. It was like watching a 13 year old teenager that thought being a father would be a "cool thing." The one question that I still ponder is this: Who on earth still looks up to him / thinks he's a role model? (Okay, besides Corey Feldman) How freaking desperate do you have to be?

that watching him with his kids part - bang on! He seems more interested in the idea of bein a dad than actually being one.
And that interviewer was whacked too..

After seeing the special aired again on VH-1, I have to say that the interviewer's comments upset me. His voice over comments were more geared towards painting an ugly picture before commercial break so you would tune back in.
I saw him say he was shocked at the way MJ behaved with his children (while he was getting mobbed at the zoo) THEN I see MJ's own video footage of him saying MJ is great with his kids. I think he was just after better ratings.
Personally, I grew up listening to MJ and I still LOVE jamming to his music. I think it's unfortunate that he didn't have a normal life growing up. Perhaps that is why he is so messed up now. Either way you look at it, it is tragic.

I don't look at him like a role model but I do feel sorry for him. I don't know if he is a child molestor or not. I HOPE not... there has to be something seriously wrong with him to think his life is normal... if he even thinks that. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if all this is just a stunt for February sweeps. I mean, the networks don't care who they trash, esp if it is a misfit like M.J. as long as it gets them ratings... and from what I heard, all the major networks except for ONE has a show on him that is airing or soon to be aired. Also, this Friday Fox is broadcasting a show FROM M.J. about how bogus that guy was that interviewed him...

I think Michael has a lot of nerve to do all the crazy things, he's ok.
