Women Can Pee Standing Up, Yanno | Main | Happy Mother's Day May 9, 2003Bic Twin Select Silky Touch Razors
What was I thinking when I bought these? Oh yeah. I remember. It was a coupon; I believe a dollar off. Enough to make me consider switching from my regular razor, and try a different brand. What a mistake. The first time I used them, it was in the shower on my armpits. I thought that the lack of effectiveness in the shaver might have been due to the longer-than-normal length of my pit hair. Or, the soap I was using. I just noticed they weren't working so hot. Eh, I figured it wasn't a big deal. That was until I used them on my legs today. Hel-lo. My leg hair wasn't long. I was using the same shaving supplies that I always did. However, I was cut repeatedly by the razor. I'm talking 5 times. I look as if I had my first attempt at shaving my legs. Mind you, I'm almost 30. I've been shaving for over a decade. A 1/2 hour later I put lotion on my bloodied, scabby legs and they stung for a good 20 minutes. Bottom Line: Never again will I buy these razors. Never. Rating: (Normally I use Gillette Daisy Disposable Razors for Women. I'll continue to stick to those, and not be lured by coupons.)

I had the same opinion. I just used the last one in the bag I bought and will never get them again. They aren't sharp enough and if I'm not careful I get awful razor burn on my legs from them. Ouch.

Ouch.
Note to self...
Do not buy Bic Twin Select Silky Touch Razors.
Thanks so much Groovy-Mom for the tip. ;)

OUCH! Thanks for the review.
I personally don't use or recommend to anyone using disposable razors, they don't seem as effective at shaving my hairy armpits or legs, but boy can they knick and cut my skin like no other razor (even when they don't seem to be very sharp). And to quote our great reviewer, I end up looking as if I had my first attempt at shaving my short little legs -- not a pretty sight.

I knew I didn't want to buy those things for a reason. Sorry you fell victim to the coupon.

shoot. this is why I use my hubby's Gilette Mach 3 blades. they are costly but I use coupons when I can, buy them at a discount store, and they are good for multiple uses, and really do the trick.

My leggies feel *so* much better after using my husbands shaver yesterday. Man. I can't believe how terrible those were.
