Going To The Hulk | Main | Kids Craft (in crafty blog) June 23, 2003Harry Potter No.5Did anyone pick up Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? We haven't yet. In fact, I've yet to make it through the first one. My kids have read some of them, though. Since seeing the 2nd movie, I've wanted to dust off the old books and read them aloud (as a family). Anyone into Harry Potter books? Like or dislike them?

Eh, I'm not into the whole Harry Potter craze. I did like the first movie, though ... want to see the rest of them. Never read the books, though. I suppose that they might be worth reading ~ I didn't stay up late/wake up early to go get this new Harry Potter book, though! hehe :) Glad you are enjoying yours!

The hubby and I have read the first 2 books and seen the movies but we've made a deal that neither one of us is to read the next books until we've seen the movies...
The reading out loud thing as a family is a cool idea, too bad both of my children don't have the patience to sit longer than 10 minutes at a time listening to a story...

Lisanne, I don't even have the book. I've got, I believe the first 2. I guess the "craze" never took off in my family.
Although, I hear so many people say they LOVE it, I feel like I'm missing something.

We have 'em all & did go to the store at 12:01 on the 21st to get #5. I started reading #2 out loud to my kids as a part of school & got hooked. I read them all to the family now.. one chapter, every day after dinner.

I've read all five books - loved every one of them. I'm reading the books out loud to my children and then we go see the movies. I'm about to start book #3 for them. We love reading and books in our family so they've really taken off.

The mailman was instructed to personally hand the book (that I had pre-ordered from Amazon) to someone on Saturday. I'm trying to savor each page but its hard not to rip right through it. I love that wizard!

I have the first four in a set but just started #1 last night. I was inspired by the recent #5 craze. It seems pretty good so far, and a quick easy read which is just what I need these days. Maybe I'll even finish it. Imagine. LOL

Have read 1 and 2, currently reading the latest! I just love these books! I haven't been this entertained by a series of books since reading the Chronicles of Narnia books when I was a teen. My boys love to read aloud the HP books too, so that's a plus for sure!
