Homemade Gatoraid

I'm looking for a Gatorade Recipe. My oldest son plays soccer and likes to drink a sports drink sometimes, but man - they're expensive. I thought maybe I'd use some of the old bottles and put some homemade drink in them. Here's what I found:

I was thinking, if you used Dextrose (corn sugar, [but not fructose corn syrupe], or grape sugar, basically it's glucose) it might provide more energy since dextrose goes straight to glucose (it is glucose). Sucrose (sugar cane) is half glucose and half fructose. Fructose takes longer to break down. If you try this, tell me how it works...

Have you tried the powder form? We get at walmart for 7.99...it makes 8 gallons
