Child Tax Credit

PHILADELPHIA, July 24 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Thursday new government checks were on their way to millions of Americans with children, even as attempts to extend the benefits to low-income families are stalled in Congress.

We received one. They were sendng them out according to SS #s, I believe.

Man, the US needs a Child Tax Benefit like Canada has. A monthly cheque for every family, according to their income level and number/ages of children. The lower your income, and the more young kids you have, the higer the amount.

Mine pays the mortage. :D

They are sending them out by the last digits of SSN. Ours should have been sent out on the 25th... I know some people got theirs, but we're still waiting.

It will probably come while we're on vacation.

Our Family won't receive one, because you had to have paid a tax liabilityin 2002 and we didn't =( However we will still receive a 5K+ check come Feb. so I can't complain...
